So, what exactly is a Pad and Pour sports floor?
A Pad and Pour is a sports floor designed to provide athletes with strength during high-impact activities. The Pad and Pour system consists of a resilient foam pad installed over a concrete sub-floor. To protect this it is then topped with a poured urethane surface. The result is a floor with the right amount of cushioning to reduce injuries, while also providing excellent traction.
The installation process for the Pad and Pour sports floor involves several steps. First, our team prepped the sub-floor to ensure that the foam pad adheres properly. Next, we installed and trimmed the foam to fit the exact dimensions of the space. Then, we mixed the urethane surface and poured it over the foam pad. The surface needs to be smooth so we troweled it for a seamless finish. Finally, the floor needed time to cure for several days before it could be in use.
One of the biggest advantages of the Pad and Pour sports floor is that it’s effortless to maintain. The urethane surface is highly resistant to wear and tear, making it ideal for sports facilities.
