The Jack Laurie Group recently completed a total transformation of the Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds and Conference Center by installing epoxy flooring all over its 20,000 square feet space. The project was a major undertaking, but we were excited to work with the Hendricks County 4-H team to create a space that is visually stunning and highly functional.
Epoxy flooring is an excellent option for high-traffic areas, such as the Hendricks County 4-H building. Epoxy is a durable, long-lasting material that is resistant to impact, stains, and scratches. This type of flooring is easy to clean and maintain, making it an ideal option.
Our specialty flooring experts worked closely with the Hendricks County 4-H team to determine the best type of epoxy flooring for their needs. We recommended a neutral flake with a non-slip finish. This would provide a modern, sophisticated look while looking out for everyone’s safety. The Hendricks County 4-H team agreed, and we got to work.
After making sure that the floor was free of any debris or cracks, we proceeded to install the epoxy on top of an already existing quartz epoxy floor. We applied several coats of epoxy, incorporating the flake into each coat and allowing it to dry before applying the next one. Lastly, we added a high-wear urethane topcoat to enhance the durability of the epoxy and provide protection.
The result was stunning. The epoxy flooring transformed the Hendricks County 4-H building into a modern, sleek space that is sure to impress visitors. The epoxy’s neutral colors allowed the building’s existing decor to stand out while also providing a fresh, updated look.
