We’re proud to share exciting news! Tyler Burns, Business Unit Leader for our Builder Division, has been named a 2026 Emerging Leader by Floor Focus Magazine. This national recognition honors up-and-coming professionals under 40 who are shaping the future of flooring through leadership, performance, and service, both inside their organizations and in their communities.

Business Unit Leader, Builder Division
Tyler’s journey with Jack Laurie Group is a powerful example of what’s possible when grit, humility, and leadership come together. He began his career in the field as a helper, learning the trade from the ground up. From there, Tyler advanced rapidly through roles including Account Manager and Fulfillment Director for Home Floor Designs, before being promoted in November 2024 to Business Unit Leader for the Builder Division. With that promotion, Tyler became the youngest Business Unit Leader in company history, a milestone earned through trust, performance, and proven leadership.
In his current role, Tyler holds full P&L responsibility for the Builder Division and oversees both operations and sales. He works closely with clients to grow market share and long-term partnerships while also building teams and systems that support consistent execution across multiple markets. Under his leadership, the division has achieved significant growth, all while maintaining the quality, craftsmanship, and service standards our customers expect.
Beyond the numbers, Tyler is known for the way he leads. His rise from the field gives him credibility with frontline teams, and his strategic mindset earns the confidence of senior leadership. He leads with accountability, clarity, and respect, consistently investing in people and processes that allow others to succeed. He’s not just building a business unit, he’s developing future leaders.
That leadership extends beyond the workplace. Tyler serves as Area Co-Chair for Clinton County Ducks Unlimited, helping raise funds to conserve wetlands and protect natural habitats. He also supports youth sports through fundraising and volunteering, and regularly gives his time and resources to community improvement and charitable initiatives.
As Floor Focus Magazine noted, many of this year’s Emerging Leaders positively impact the quality of life in their communities, and Tyler exemplifies that balance of professional excellence and service.
Congratulations, Tyler, on this well-earned recognition. Your journey, your leadership, and your commitment to others reflect the very best of our industry and the future we’re proud to be building at Jack Laurie Group.
