At Bishop Noll Institute, the floors have seen decades of footsteps, lessons, and memories. The school’s original 9×9 asbestos tiles, once standard in older buildings, are worn and outdated. Recognizing the need for safer, more functional, and visually appealing flooring, the administration connected with Jack Laurie Group to embark on a multi-year plan to modernize their facility while maintaining school character.
Each summer, our team works alongside Bishop Noll’s leadership to prioritize and execute flooring upgrades in the busiest, most well-used areas of the education building. This thoughtful, phased approach allows the school to operate smoothly during the academic year while making consistent progress toward a refreshed, updated interior.
This year, the focus is on the AV rooms. One of our Northwest Indiana Project Managers, Danielle Manney, collaborated directly with school leadership to craft a flooring concept that balances practicality with school spirit. They selected Interface Studio Set flooring in Pewter, Royal Blue, and Slate—tones that align with the school’s colors while offering a clean, professional look. The flooring’s textured surface provides a subtle, woven aesthetic while delivering the durability needed to withstand constant student movement. Looking ahead, the next plans include incorporating a vivid splash of yellow to inject even more vibrancy into the design.
The Interface Studio Set product line, known for its performance and sustainability, features a backing that supports better acoustics and a more comfortable surface underfoot—perfect for learning environments that require both focus and flexibility.
