At Jack Laurie Group, we believe in building more than just floors—we believe in building communities. That’s why we’re honored to be part of Habitat for Humanity’s Restore Your Passion event, an initiative that brings creativity, craftsmanship, and community service together for an incredible cause.
Leading the charge is Cassidy Young, Business Unit Leader of Commercial Construction, who is currently serving as one of the event’s Goddess Contractors (GC). Cassidy, along with a dedicated JLG team, is actively transforming a worn-out furniture piece into something new, functional, and full of life.
What Is Restore Your Passion?
Restore Your Passion is more than just a fundraiser—it’s an opportunity to showcase ingenuity and passion all while raising money for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Fort Wayne. Teams select a piece from the Habitat ReStore, then refinish, repurpose, or restore it into a unique creation. Each finished piece will be auctioned off at a live event on April 24, 2025, with proceeds directly supporting Habitat’s mission of providing safe, stable, and affordable housing to local families.
JLG’s Commitment to Community Impact
Cassidy and the JLG team selected their furniture piece back in January and are currently hard at work bringing their vision into reality. This project is a perfect reflection of what we do best—combining skill, strategy, and dedication to transform and renew spaces (or, in this case, furniture).
Beyond the creative aspect, this event aligns with our company values. Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit Christian housing ministry that brings together volunteers and community partners to help hardworking families achieve their dream of homeownership. Their commitment to creating secure and accessible housing resonates deeply with our team, making this event even more meaningful. We’re proud to foster an ongoing partnership with the life-changing organization.
Join Us in Supporting a Great Cause
We’re looking forward to unveiling our finished piece at the Restore Your Passion auction and seeing the incredible transformations from other teams. If you’re in the area, we encourage you to attend the event, bid on a one-of-a-kind masterpiece, and support Habitat’s mission.
