Jack Laurie Group Wins Award of Excellence for Work at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum

We’re proud to share that Jack Laurie Group has been honored with the Award of Excellence by the Associated Builders and Contractors of Indiana/Kentucky (ABC) for our flooring work at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum.

From left David Casey, Gunnar Pennington, Lacey Nix, and Garrett Pennington accept the Award of Excellence for Jack Laurie Group.

The award was presented during the ABC Gala held at the historic Indiana Roof Ballroom, where Garrett Pennington, Gunnar Pennington, and David Casey proudly accepted the recognition on behalf of our team.

What began as a 23,000-square-foot LVT installation quickly expanded into a full-scale flooring transformation. The project ultimately covered 54,000 square feet of soft goods and 11,000 square feet of ceramic tile. This high-profile project required precision, speed, and an unwavering commitment to quality.

Just two months before completion, the scope increased significantly with an added 22,000 square feet of flooring. Working in a nearly century-old building with tight timelines and high expectations from one of Indiana’s most iconic institutions, our team delivered on time and with excellence. The museum was fully ready for guests prior to the Indianapolis 500.

We’d like to give special recognition to our installation team, who worked tirelessly to make this project a success. From creative problem-solving in challenging conditions to executing every detail with care, your work was nothing short of extraordinary. This award is a reflection of your dedication, craftsmanship, and teamwork.

The flooring design, which subtly mimics tire burnouts, connects the guest experience to the legacy of racing in Indiana. Completed just in time for race week, the renovation enhances both the aesthetics and durability of this cultural landmark.

Thank you to ABC Indiana/Kentucky, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum, our incredible team, and everyone who helped bring this project across the finish line.
